Breaking Through “The Bamboo Ceiling” jointly-sponsored panel at UConn Law School starting at 6:00 p.m. Please join panelists from leading Connecticut businesses and universities in a frank discussion about the challenges facing Asian-Americans in the workplace and strategies that the Asian-American community and businesses can use to overcome the obstacles that prevent the advancement of Asian-Americans. Recent Developments in Delaware Corporate Law roundtable dinner discussion group. Please join your fellow CAPABA members for a book-club style discussion over dinner and cocktails to refresh your recollection of landmark cases that continue to shape current business practice and to hear about a few recent but hugely impactful opinions coming down from the Delaware Supreme Court and Court of Chancery. We will be discussing a wide range of topics: activist investors, proxy access, conflicts of interest, fiduciary carve-outs, aiding and abetting liability of third party advisers, and the demise of disclosure-only settlement in M&A litigation.
