The Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) and Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY) invite you to join them for a special fundraiser to backpacks with toys, arts & craft supplies, and other goodies for children with cancer.
AABANY and KALAGNY will supply the bags and the goodies, while you help assemble and decorate the bags. Open bar and food will be served. There’ll also be a silent auction, featuring prizes such as dinners with Don Liu (GC, Target), Parkin Lee (GC Rockefeller Group), Michael Wu (GC, Carters), Michael Lewis (GC, Bolla Oil), Michael Rhee (GC, Durst Organization) Jung Choi (Bristol-Myers Squibb Company).
Suggested donation: $50 in advance; $60 at the door.
Backpacks will be donated to Stephen D. Hassenfield Children’s Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders, and proceeds will be donated to the Han C. Choi Scholarship Fund.

The CAPABA Educational Foundation is pleased to announce its Annual CAPABA Educational Foundation Scholarship, which will be awarded to one law student for the 2017-2018 academic year on June 9, 2018 during CAPABA’s Annual Dinner which will be held during the NAPABA Northeast Regional Conference at Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, Connecticut.
The CAPABA Educational Foundation Scholarships are intended to be awarded each academic year to an Asian Pacific American law student who demonstrates leadership potential, excellence in academia, a firm commitment and involvement with the Asian American community in Connecticut. The recipient of the scholarship will be selected by the CAPABA Educational Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Completed applications should be submitted no later than April 30, 2018.
Registration for NAPABA’s Annual Lobby Day, May 7-8, 2018, Washington, D.C., is now open.
Lobby Day is an opportunity for NAPABA members to educate members of Congress and Congressional staffers on issues of importance to the APA community.
