Applications for the sixth annual Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy (CBLA) are being accepted until May 25, 2018. The CBLA is a collaborative effort among the ABA, NAPABA, Hispanic Nat’l Bar Assoc., Nat’l LGBT Bar Assoc., and Nat’l Native American Bar Assoc. to strengthen the pipeline of diverse bar association leaders through leadership training and professional development programs. There will be an approximately 1-hour ride on the roads around Easton, with gentle changes in elevation. If you are riding, please arrive by 9:00 am. Advanced riders can opt for a second lap with more intensity.
BBQ @ 12pm – Rain or Shine
We will be enjoying BBQ, Asian-fusion food, and plenty of beverages at noon. The pool will also be open throughout the day for anyone who wants to cool off with a dip!
This event is family friendly. Additionally, we will be collecting donations for the CAPABA Educational Foundation throughout the day. We suggest bringing a small donation, in multiples of $25, at your discretion.

CAPABA is excited to offer up to two (2) stipends of $1,000 each for first-time attendees to the NAPABA Convention! Interested applicants should also have been in practice for five (5) years or less and have sought funding to attend the Convention from other sources, such as an employer. Applications will be reviewed by the CAPABA Board, and the stipend(s) will be awarded at the Board’s discretion. The stipend will be paid via check disbursed after the Convention has concluded and attendance at the Convention is confirmed. Interested applicants should submit a resume and brief statement of interest that includes: (i) interest in attending the Convention; (ii) description of past and/or expected contribution to CAPABA; (iii) statement of first time attendance to the Convention; and (iv) the applicant’s statement that funding to attend the Convention was sought from other sources but such request was declined.
